STERISEPT is a phenol-, aldehyde-, and phosphate-free liquid concentrate for cleaning and disinfecting thermostable and thermolabile medical instruments. STERISEPT destroys bacteria (including Mycobacterium terrae), viruses (including HBV, HIV), and fungi. Due to the content of surfactants, the product has good cleaning properties. It is material-friendly, effectively removing blood, proteins, secretions, and fats from medical instruments. It rinses off quickly and completely from materials.
It is used for disinfecting and cleaning medical instruments such as endoscopes, optical instruments and their accessories, bronchoscopes, biopsy loops and forceps, intubation tubes, laryngoscopes, aspiration tubes, kidney dishes, bedpans, laboratory utensils, dental instruments, etc. Suitable for use in all stainless-steel ultrasonic baths and endoscope washing machines. When used in machine washing devices, it is recommended to add foam regulator.
Short disinfection times and low concentrations enable economical use.
Instructions for use: Immediately after use, place opened instruments into a covered container filled with STERISEPT working solution. Ensure that all instrument surfaces are fully covered with the solution. After the exposure time, rinse with sterile or running water as needed.
High-level disinfection for contaminated surfaces:
- 3% (30 ml per 1 L water) – exposure time: 15 minutes
- 2% (20 ml per 1 L water) – exposure time: 30 minutes
- 1% (10 ml per 1 L water) – exposure time: 60 minutes
Working solutions are prepared by diluting the concentrate in water (at room temperature). The prepared working solution lasts for 14 days when sealed, and 7 days when in use. Replace the solution according to contamination level. Store the substance in tightly sealed containers at a temperature of not less than +5ºC.
STERISEPT is not compatible with aldehydes, so avoid using such products before and after disinfection with STERISEPT.
